A Deeper Look

personality/ past overview  – 
         Skylar was born in Montrose, a small city in Colorado and has for the majority of her life grown up with her father, Aaron. Though she doesn't know much about her mother, as far as she's aware, she had left the picture when she was only a few months old due to having gotten involved with drugs. Naturally Skylar feels somewhat resentful hearing this, though she also feels it was in her mothers best interests to keep her and her father safe, and isn't the type to bare any grudges against anyone. 

Growing up, Skylar was always fairly outgoing, happy, though still had more reserved qualities about her and as her father may put it, 'always with her head in the clouds'. Like any other child, she was picked on and in turn this painted her to become rather sensitive towards many things and sometimes even a tad pessimistic. Though it's in her blood to be able to bounce back fairly quickly and to be social--even a bit random or goofy depending on who she's around. Skylar typically strays from social gatherings and immerses herself constantly in writing, drawing, gaming or playing her guitar. Throughout her school life she can be seen as one who is more of a loner and does often feel slightly alienated since she isn't 'popular' or one who associates in partying or doing drugs, as this is something she's grown out of rather quickly and can't relate to. 

Relationships

mother (Thallo) – From the start, and like any of the Greek Gods, Thallo has wanted the best for her daughter. Though their relationship is nearly nonexistent, Skylar takes after her mother in a sense that she is not one to hold any grudges, especially with her attitude toward the excuse Aaron used for Thallo's absence. If she were to meet her mother however, the connection would be instant and Skylar would know for certain the love her mother holds for her daughter, and in turn would return that love, while also understanding that as a God, Thallo has a duty. 

father (Aaron) – Skylar and her father have always been close, though since she shares his more reserved qualities they likely aren't the most lively of families. Each of them on a daily basis do their own thing so to say, and at times they have little quarrels since Aaron is extremely protective. Skylar is a natural born free spirit, and though she enjoys and is used to staying at home and immersing herself in her writings or artwork, she still gains urges to go out and have fun and generally Aaron can be a little stubborn about that depending on what it is she'd be doing. 

Layla – She and Skylar met at a cafe only about a couple days after her move to New York, and hit it off very quickly considering Layla is extremely approachable and a bit less socially awkward than Skylar herself. Throughout the story she and Layla are very close, and Layla is definitely helpful when it comes to pushing her to be able to be her best and take risks (though of course risks she knows her friend might be willing to take, that might not be so dangerous). 

Percy – In the beginning the two are noticeably a bit shy around one another, though once they do start to speak to each other they'd come to find they have a lot more in common than they first thought. Upon discovering these almost oddly similar things, their friendship is fast to bloom, and there is always that spark and notable attraction they have for each other. Though because of few past relationships, Skylar is somewhat reluctant about allowing things to escalate too quickly, not to say Percy is the type to rush those sorts of matters. Considering the complexity and the sharp turns their lives take upon discovering their once vague, absent parents though, Skylar learns to trust Percy relatively quickly and her bond with him is always growing and developing. Percy in turn is very protective over her especially once romance blooms between them, and upon finding that she has some trust issues in regards to relationships he is very determined to prove his loyalty to her. 

Grover – The bond between Skylar and Grover is somewhat similar to the bond she holds with Layla. He's someone who pushes her more to take risks and to be herself--someone who is outgoing and bright. Being the biggest comic relief in the film, Grover plays a key role in bringing Percy and her closer together. Since he's so outgoing and sociable, it's easy for Skylar--or anyone for that matter--to be able to make friends with him.  

Annabeth – The relationship between Skylar and Annabeth will prove to be one of the most rocky in the story, considering that Annabeth's personality in a lot of respects is opposite to Skylar's. Though it is in Skylar to be able to be strong and assertive, she does have a bit more of a softer-put exterior. The biggest source of drama here will be the fact that Annabeth gains a little bit of a 'thing' for Percy, and since she feels it might be easy to show Skylar up, makes many attempts to sabotage her, which in turn of course makes her look like a big jerk. The time will come though when Skylar can defeat Anna in a battle and prove her strength to everyone. Once Skylar cuts her down to size a bit, maybe they can sort out a sort of friendship, since luckily Skylar does not bear grudges against most.

Abilities

As a Demigod – Demigods born under any of the few Horae (goddesses of the seasons), at the age of 17 is when their powers begin to mature, and as a result of this the weather will begin to slowly be bent according to the mood they are in. In order to keep the weather in line, any child born from a Horae must be assigned the element associated with their season. (Spring coincides with Wind, Summer with Fire, Winter with Water and Ice, and Fall with Earth) They are also, like Percy, assigned protectors of their own that are sent to the outside world to call upon them when the time is ready, so that they can go to Camp Half-blood. The protector of a Horae demigod is also their assigner, who will assign them their season and element, help to keep them calm if their mood is too out of hand and also help train them to use their powers. Once the power has been mastered, the weather won't be so dependent on their mood. 

Powers – Her powers will include the ability to control wind and later on, the ability to focus her energy more into the wind for energy blasts the same color as her aura. (blue and lavender)

Abilities

Inflicting shock, lasers and a camera in her eyes and the ability to make a weapon as an extension from any place on her body. Increased speed and strength.

Weapon

She can shift to various weapons so long as it is an extension of her body. For example, if she were to shift her whole entire arm into a blade, it would not work as her robot-skeleton would get in the way. Therefore, if the blade juts from her palm or tips of her fingers, that would be a better bet as it would not interfere with the skeleton. So, her weapons tend to spike from her body as opposed to completely morphing it. Much like Lust's nails, though she has a wider range as to where the weapon spikes out.

Personality

Even in her life before becoming Maylis, Ariel was a bit of a loner. Despite being rich she preferred to stay away from others and found closeness with animals. Even with the nice life she had at first, something never quite seemed right... something about people merely made her sick to her stomach. She surely is an outcast, one who does not have many friends nor was quite liked by anyone. In fact most would deem her as 'weird'.

Other than this, Ariel is one who has always vowed to be loyal to others, unless they attempt to harm her in some way of course. Once a friend is acquired, she's one who might be a bit socially awkward or even morbid, though she is a friend worth keeping. One thing of human life that does intrigue her is love. Though this is also something she doesn't quite understand, especially considering her past. After transforming into a human/ android sort of hybrid under the hands of Andrew Knowles she's become noticeably more cold and resentful toward humans, despite still being part human herself. She has her own goals, though if she were to get involved with anyone on any sort of level, Maylis is the type who would put that persons goals and wishes right at the top with her own, nor would she lie or betray them so long as the do not hurt her.

Family/Past

Ariel Collins had lived a life full of lies and distrust—though this didn't begin until she was told some news at the age of 16. Before this things were blissful, as she lived with her aunt and her husband in his spacious home. Due to not having siblings, Ariel spent most of her days with her aunt Leah while Noah was out working, or with her dog Poncho. It came to her knowledge though that most children resembled their parents, whereas she looked nothing like her 'mother and father'. She'd question this many times, though was told that she simply resembled her grandmother above all else. Being shown a photo of a young woman with her same hair and eyes, it seemed it was true... Little did she know, these photos were of her own mother, who had been brutally killed by Noah himself.

Guilt ate at Leah each day... and it wasn't until Noah left on a business trip to Central city that she revealed to Ariel that she and Noah were not her true parents. Baffled, Ariel would shake her head, though Leah pulled forth the same photo she'd shown her niece when she was a child. “This is your mother,” she told to her. 'Then what happened to them?' She was bound to ask... the answer took a while, though it did surface. Noah had murdered them both because he and Leah weren't able to conceive a child... in his selfish act in stealing Ariel for them to keep. The killing was well thought out and Ariel was easily passed to them after they moved to Dublith. Furious, Ariel proceeded to pack her things straight away, insisting that now was their chance to leave... just while Noah was gone. Leah shook her head though in disagreement, stating that she didn't have the money for them to live on their own. Then why stay with him for so long...? Ariel would wonder. The only explanation was that Leah wanted money from Noah... as she pondered this in her bedroom, alone, it seemed these people she lived with were so selfish... She turned her blue eyes to Poncho, reaching to pat his warm head. “You would never do such things, now would you...? You're the only loyal one I know...”

Being a loner already, Ariel was never one to trust people too easily. When Noah returned a few months later, apparently he'd found that she knew the truth about him solely on how she looked at him. “You know the truth about me now don't you?” There was something there... there was always something off about that man. How had she missed it? “Wouldn't you rather live here? In this glorious home! Rather than with them, your own pathetic parents?” The words he spoke were almost unreal to her...

“Of course not,” she spat. “I'd much rather live in a run down home... if it meant living with people who aren't so selfish!” Noah moved to strike Ariel, who had her arm gravely hurt and twisted. She'd managed to scamper away and out the door.

It wasn't long until a man named Andrew Knowles discovered Ariel after she'd been struck by a car while running from home. He took her to Reole, into his lab deep underground. The way he spoke of people... Ariel felt a connection to it. He detested them... and was even building his own army of super humans. Androids. The news was unreal, though it wasn't long until she met all of them—all of which were quite unemotional, though still loyal and so very powerful in their own way. She was battered and broken, and this wasn't the only reason she agreed to become like them, the androids. Her new alias was Maylis. The other androids shunned her a bit, stating that she was still part human due to the fact she still had her own brain, her own skin and heart... Everything else though was that of an android and she was decked out in weapons. Now, she wouldn't even age. Soon Andrew realized a mistake he'd made—he should have given Maylis a chip to control her... just in case she were to ever run off. While working on this though, Maylis had indeed run off, not quite finding the idea of mind control all that appealing. Working under Father and with assassinations along with the other androids was somewhat appealing. It pained her somewhat not to remain loyal to one who had helped her in her time of need, though she still has her own goals and her own new life to begin as a super human...

「It is of course stated that shinigami must always abide to the rule in which they always keep themselves composed and emotionless. Given this, Joslynn is typically quite well at keeping herself composed; of course, depending upon who she is faced with.

She can be seen as one who can get witty in a fight, and known to be quick not only in her wit though physically so. She’s one who is observant who often will keep to herself though she is seen to have a sense of humor.. a rather dark one, in fact. Joslynn can also be quite the prankster, especially toward those who particularly irk her, thus to some she is viewed as sort of childish as well as somewhat cruel. If one were to get to know her well enough, she can get rather hyper in a brawl, often mocking her opponents or just being rude, even sadistic on some occasions. Some might even deem her insane.

Joslynn’s view on humans is of course, that they are interesting and she, like other shinigami, has a hatred toward demons, seeing them as nuisances that steal away souls that should be properly taken care of. Being a bit of a tomboy, she enjoys weaponry and combat boots. Even if it is not necessary for shinigami to eat, she had taken a liking to human food—especially sweets. (Namely strawberries.) She also enjoys music and dancing and over all being carefree.」

Personality and Past Overview

Generally Ren is seen to be put together and level-headed, perhaps even sophisticated to some with a an air of loneliness. As a child, the longing for a friendship was strong enough to make her quite rebellious. After having met Haku, Ren would run from home various times to see and play with him. Haku is one person to eventually see what Ren is truly like; warm-hearted, very playful by nature, sincere, emotional, a bit stubborn, brash and a risk-taker.

After the loss of her friend she has become that much more reluctant toward becoming close to anyone, in fear they will disappear. During this time she is seen as quiet, diffident and not one to usually approach others unless necessary. Ren is also seen to be rather harsh, though by no means does she have a short temper. In battle especially she can get rather intense, and depending on the circumstances, she’s one who won’t hesitate to kill. Her clan is much like the Inuzuka, though with a feline approach. Lots of the things that feed into a cats personality feed into Ren’s as well as she is usually shy, curious and a little bit impulsive and relentless. She’s one who is keen in her senses and generally if she ends up in a rut, she is a good problem solver.

 Her father is one who is quite power-hungry, and after retiring from his job as an anbu, he’s pushed all of his studies onto her. Seeing his daughter’s destiny to be a very powerful shinobi, he took advantage of this and kept her isolated in a small shack behind their home for strict training. Though her abilities grew rapidly, she realized what her father’s intentions were; to isolate her and use her as a weapon. At the age of eight is when she grew more aware and tried to run away multiple times, though was found quickly and received harsh lectures, often times even physical harm.

For a long time, Ren’s mother Hisui was afraid to speak up about how she felt her daughter should live, being as soft-spoken as she was. She wanted what Ren wanted—for her to go to an academy and make friends like a normal girl. As soon as Ren’s father saw that Hisui was edging towards running away with her, he got rid of her, feeling she was only getting in the way of Ren’s “success”. Not long after that incident, Ren’s father was discovered by officials in Kiri, and was locked away. Ren was taken in and after being evaluated by the Mizukage, she was announced an elite at the age of 14, based on her keen uses of elemental jutsu and especially her sensory prowess and taijutsu. She was admitted into an all-girl organization for elite ninja, though was not happy living there, feeling outcasted  due to having been admitted in at such a young age.

Ren now resides in an abandoned cottage in the outskirts of Kiri, and focuses her time on working missions for the village, etc.

Relationships

Hisui (Mother) 

As a child Ren feels sorry for her mother, since she is so frail and soft-spoken, seemingly nothing compared to her father. She feels a strong closeness to her, and the loss of her is something forever pooling in her mind. There’s a feeling of regret that she wasn’t strong enough to protect her during her death. As she grows older though, the feelings of pity are replaced by the realization she never wants to be like her, never wants to be so soft-spoken.

Kyo (Father) 

For a while Ren was indeed afraid of her dad, around the age of 6 though she learned to try to stand up to him after noticing her mother never did. After becoming aware she was being locked away for his own benefit, she started to run off at night. She isn’t afraid of her father, and as she grows older holds a grudge against him.

Haku 

By far one of the most important people to her, Haku was Ren’s first friend. After seeing him while going to the shop with her father one day, she offered him food, noting how skinny and lonely he looked. Though of course as soon as her father noticed she was scolded and even hit. Either way, she felt she and Haku were similar and went to see him often, and they grew close to the point of hiding under bridges and talking for hours, sharing a blanket, cuddling etc. As they get older, newer feelings do arise. Being as curious as she is, Ren is often the one to initiate things to explore these feelings, opening a door for them both. After the loss of Zabuza and the initial shock from it, Haku eventually realizes he may have been being used to a degree. Naturally he decides to shift his purpose to protecting Ren. In turn Ren vows to do the same and offer him a little more freedom as an individual, which takes some getting used to though Haku grows to appreciate this.

「Abilities」

Ren's clan is very much like the Inuzuki clan of the Leaf, and it's members have a keen sense of every basic human sense. Balance and agility are greatly escalated in each holder. Because of this, Taijutsu is a main component in how they fight, in addition to elemental jutsu. There is a gateway that they can unlock, in which chakra is channeled and potent that increases these abilities further. This can only be achieved through great skill and is effective though takes a toll on the user.

Personality and Past Overview

Hisoka was born and raised in Kumo, growing up with her father and twin brother Satoru. Being the wielders of their unique nature type, their clan is quite well known. Not only for their nature type, but also their red locks and spunky personalities. Hisoka has always been very much a tomboy. Even around the ages of 2 and 3 she preferred more boyish things than flowers or dresses, likely because she’s always looked up to her brother and would copy the things he’d do. This tomboyish behavior carried especially after her mother had passed during an intense battle with a few shinobi from Oto. Her mother was always one very feminine from what she recalled, though even with how her daughter was different from most girls, she encouraged her to be who she wanted. Thus, Hisoka has lived a fairly happy life, despite the loss of her mother at such a young age.

As Hisoka has grown a bit older, she eventually became aware of how all the other girls in her village were evolving. Even after going through all the growth spurts and shifts, Hisoka still looks quite like her brother. Most people do often mistake her for a boy and she and Satoru are deemed the ‘Kobayashi twin boys’ almost all of the time. For a while she would take the time correct people, although after a few years she does not think much of the mistake. Hisoka is an androgynous female, her height, voice and tough-girl exterior though can easily make her a boy. Fighting is something she has always taken a liking to. In battle she can be quite witty and is often also the first to jump into a battle. Hisoka has always taken pride in how she has become, and often mocks girls who are frilly and detests being the ‘damsel in distress’, often stating she can take care of herself. Her brother though is quite protective and shares this trait with his sister. They also have a good sense of humor, are known to playfully ‘rough-house’ a lot, comparable to a couple of coltish  puppies. Lots of people especially know the twins because of how outgoing, bright and playful they are. The two of them might come off as a bit loud-mouthed, though they are anything but bullies unless someone is pushing their buttons.

Of course, the twins do have some differences. The most apparent being that Hisoka has light blue eyes, whereas Satoru has deep green eyes. Hisoka surely wins in the category of being a bit more brash and quick to anger. Satoru even insists that Hisoka is more boyish than he some ways. Hisoka is seen to be a bit more emotional than her brother though, usually being the first to shed tears when the situation is right. All in all, Hisoka is a bit more sentimental than her brother as well as a bit outspoken. Satoru is popular around girls. Girls have mistaken Hisoka for him at times, thus she’s had girls who have crushed on her… in this department though, she is not very knowledgeable and also feels no other boy would accept her due to her appearance and personality. Therefore Hisoka is often just considered ‘another one of the boys.’

Hisoka has felt a closeness to her mother and is thankful she was never the type who forced her into being someone she isn’t. These days she tries not to linger on thoughts of her mother too much as it makes her emotional and she hates to be seen as weak around others.

She and her father have a close bond, though he seems to have troubles with allowing her to step foot outside of their home village. Because Hisoka’s desire to travel this causes some mild conflict between the two, though her father generally is understanding and comes to his senses.」satoru – 「Hisoka and Satoru are extremely close and playful with one another. She looks up to her brother greatly, though they have their share of differences. Hisoka is the more emotional one out of the two, and so on.

Suigetsu 

Hisoka is one who tolerates Suigetsu, she feels that he’s one who is very accepting of her. He’s the one how makes her feel much more comfortable in her own skin. Granted, she can get a little rowdy when Suigetsu is taking a load off a little too often. Even if most might see Suigetsu as a nuisance  Hisoka feels something deeply towards him and wants to help him reach his goals, no matter how far-fetched.

「Kekkei Genkai Overview and Abilities」

Kekkei genkai abilities/info – Carrying poison of any sort is not necessary, it can serve as a quick way to get rid of enemies as well as a good trap, the user and any other user of this is immune to it. 

It must assured the area is clear of any who don’t possess the technique before use of it, excessive use can be very draining of the users chakra… it is bound to take lots of time, but it is possible to become immune to the poison if one can get a hold of it.

 Upon inhaling, the victim will become paralyzed. The vapor is fast working, efficient and will shut down the body, killing each victim in as little as 8 minutes.
