Typical outfit -- White tank top, sometimes with a loose dark grey sweat over it, faded dark blue jeans and black and white low top converse.
Likes -- Any kind of female super hero, animals, skateboarding, the color red, painting, shooting guns, playing soccer, outdoors, swimming
Dislikes -- scorpions, being told how to behave, skirts, blueberries and blackberries (she's allergic), being ignored, being talked down to, seafood
Past and Personality
Alex was born and has remained in LA for all of her life thus far. At the age of 3 her mother and father got a divorce due to the mother's growing addictions, and she left to Nevada to seek treatment but has not been heard of for years now. Her father remarried a woman named Rene when Alex was five and had another child soon on after. Before her younger sister was born, Alex and her father Devin had a close bond and he has taught her many skills from shooting, to cooking and so on. But after Rene was pregnant and after Sandra's birth it seemed her father's attention was mostly on them two and in turn Alex has felt alone a lot of the time. A part of her even resents Sandra, and all of them in fact since they constantly seem more interested in Sandra's needs. Often Alex goes out on her own and isn't really worried about too often seemingly, it's made her question her relationship with her family. She feels that for some reason she is resented because she's like her mother in lots of ways, and her mother was apparently a huge bother and extremely stubborn.
She's a little bit of as loner excluding a couple of boys she's friends with and has taken up some rebellious tendencies, has a sometimes standoffish demeanor as she has learned from her father not to be stepped all over, she uses this against them sometimes to stick up for herself. She has a wall up in a way though is obviously a sort of melancholy individual as noted by John Connor once they become friends. She actually ends up feeling closer to him, Sarah and the Terminator that protects John when they embark on their journey, Alex does find herself tangled in the middle of it. While involved in the fight against the liquid metal terminator, Alex isn't hesitant to show her bold side in taking the role of a gunslinger girl and is rather brash, though this is a basis of her personality overall.
Relationships
Samantha Puente (mother) -- Alex has very vague memories of her mother and father arguing in their bedroom, otherwise she doesn't remember too much besides being talked to by her mother and has only heard regative things. She's also aware that she's in Nevada though has not been in touch with her.
Devin Santos (father) -- In Alex's earlier years the two had a close bond though things have changed since her younger sister was born and haven't seemed to change much since then. Sometimes Alex feels it's because for some reason her father is already seeing her as strong and independent though on another hand she senses the neglect. She's grateful for his teachings but feels like outcast a lot of the time, and is actually rarely home.
Rene Santos (step mother) -- There have been times during holidays and birthdays where Rene would make some kind of gesture like getting Alex dolls and the like, though most of the time Alex senses that Rene has some jealousy especially anytime her father attempts to reconnect with her. The gifts she would give also Alex always takes well though they obviously don't reflect her interests at all. Rene is another person that makes her feel a bit misunderstood.
Sandra Santos (half sister) -- Sandra has grown to be shy though pretty badly spoiled by her parents, there have been many instances where the two of them constantly mess with eachother. Alex has done things like pulling Sandra's hair, pushing her, or even shoving her face into a toilet which is another reason her parents constantly baby Sandra and further spoil her anytime Alex plays the bully role. They don't have much in common since they're five years apart.
John Connor -- John is one person she's somewhat made friends with, being in the same school as well as having a couple of mutual friends. The story actually starts with them running into eachother at the mall, and them two finally taking the time to hang out. Alex at the time does end up caught in the middle of the fights between the two terminators, and helping John with busting his mother out of the mental institution as she's fairly experienced in shooting guns etc. The two eventually grow really close and at the time of these first events little does Alex know the liquid metal terminator is after her as well as she is his future wife.
Sarah Connor -- Sarah actually does resonate with and she reminds Alex of what her mom may be like. She eventually does become like a mother figure to her, especially when Alex reveals her strength and boldness when fighting with them. She shows concern at first when Alex starts acting brash and insisting that she help shoot down the terminator though is impressed after seeing her skill.
Terminator -- When first discovering terminators, like most anyone Alex is in disbelief though has read enough sci fi not to be afraid exactly, she sees him as something that definitely comes in handy given their situation, and in the end she also feels sympathy for him as he begins learning to act more human.
